Dr Kirby joined the Practice in 2003 and is the GP Trainer for Kingswood Surgery. She is a strong advocate of holistic care for our patients. Her special interests are Type II Diabetes and Children’s Health.
Dr Gerald Armstrong BMedSci, BMBS, MRCS, MSc (Sports Medicine) MFSEM, nMRCGP
Qualified in 2008 in Wales. Joined the Practice in 2013. Specialist interests in minor surgery, joint injections, orthopaedics and sports medicine.

The Practice Team
Practice Manager
Sally Walton is our practice manager who joined us in March 2024, her role is to oversee the day-to-day administration and running of the practice.
Practice Secretary
Our secretary Tricia Temperley deals with all medical and non-medical correspondence for the practice and acts as a link between the hospital and patients.
Receptionists
Our receptionists are available at all times when the surgery is open. Their duties include organising appointments, home visits, repeat prescriptions and helping answer general enquiries from patients.

The practice nurses offer a wide range of services including health promotion covering all aspects of health and wellbeing, family planning, asthma, diabetic care and many other screening programmes. They can offer advice on numerous health topics.
First Contact Physiotherapist
Visits 3 half days every week. Patients do not need a referral to access this service. Appointments can be made by calling reception.
District Nurses
A team of district nurses is attached to the practice. They are available to provide nursing care, advice and support for housebound patients.
Health Visitors
This nursing team promote health and provide support for families. They will contact new mums and families with children under the age of five years of age who have recently registered with the practice.
Midwife
The midwife can be contacted through the surgery for help and advice.
Training of Healthcare Professionals
We undertake teaching and training of qualified doctors and healthcare professionals. Sometimes trainees are present to observe qualified staff. You would be asked if you agree to their presence. You can decline at any time without it effecting your care in any way.
