Call 111 - When it is less urgent than 999

You may be offered a remote consultation as an alternative to attending the practice in person. If you agree to a remote consultation the GP or healthcare professional may need to receive and store images taken by patients for clinical purposes; this could include images for the purpose of intimate clinical assessment. This will only be done in the interests of the patient where it is necessary for providing health care and with patient consent. The approach to video consulting, image sharing, and storage is the same as it would be for face to face interactions. If we need to store images on your GP record this will be only for as long as necessary. It is a patient’s choice to share an image either of their own accord or at the request of the health professional treating you. Refusal to share an image does not prevent access to care and treatment or result in patients receiving an inferior standard of care. Further details about how remote consultation works can be obtained by contacting the practice.

Covid-19 Booster Vaccinations

You will be aware that some people are becoming eligible for a Covid Booster vaccination.

This will be available to all those in cohorts 1 – 9 of the JCVI guidance which was used for the first phase of the vaccination programme and will be Pfizer unless a patient suffered a previous allergic reaction to the Pfizer jab

Please click here for full details.

Covid-19 Vaccinations for 12 years +

You will have seen that as well as all adults, 12 year olds and older are now being offered the vaccination.

Please click here for further details of how this will take place.

Patience please!

We appreciate the pandemic is having a great impact on all our lives and this is causing a great deal of frustration. Phone calls to the surgery have escalated so this will mean longer times for you to get through to the surgery and for us to deal with your requests.  Our receptionists have to deal with over 300 calls a day. Whilst most patients have been understanding about the wait I am afraid some patients have not and they have taken their frustration out on the receptionists. We are sure this is not intended but still it has an impact on our receptionists who are trying to help.

Meanwhile we continue to find ways to help the flow of these phone calls and to deal with your requests as quickly as possible.

Please remember if you use the internet you can use e-consult via the Kingswood Surgery instead of phoning in and you can order your medications on line

Car parking is available for surgery patients at the rear of the building and is clearly sign-posted. Disabled parking for surgery patients is available at the front of the building.

Disabled access is available throughout the building, including a lift to the treatment rooms on the first floor.

The geographical area covered by the practice is between the boundaries of the Harrogate Golf Club on the A59 to the east, Lund House Green to the south, the Jennyfield estate to the west and the Harrogate town boundary on the A61 to the north. my smear test

The cervical screening test, commonly known as the smear test, can detect abnormal cells that develop before cancer. By taking a smear test when invited by their GP, women give themselves the best chance of detecting pre-cancerous cells, which can be easily treated. Get a smear test - it's worth it!
