Some practices and pharmacies offer adult flu vaccinations as soon as the vaccination is made available in September. However clinical evidence suggests that flu vaccine antibodies wane with time, so to optimise your antibodies response we follow the advice and guidance that says the vaccine should be given nearer to the actual "flu session", this will increase the vaccines effectiveness and offer maximum protection against the Flu virus when it really matters.  Therefore, Kingswood Surgery will begin our Flu clinics on 3rd October.  We have started sending out text message invitations for patients to book directly into these clinics.  Please wait for your invitation, please do not call the practice until you have had your invitation, as this takes up call capacity making it more difficult for those patients with more pressing medical needs on the day to get through.  Thanks for your support in this.
