Some practices and pharmacies offer adult flu vaccinations as soon as the vaccination is made available in September. However clinical evidence suggests that flu vaccine antibodies wane with time, so to optimise your antibodies response we follow the advice and guidance that says the vaccine should be given nearer to the actual "flu session", this will increase the vaccines effectiveness and offer maximum protection against the Flu virus when it really matters. Therefore, Kingswood Surgery will begin our Flu clinics on 3rd October. We have started sending out text message invitations for patients to book directly into these clinics. Please wait for your invitation, please do not call the practice until you have had your invitation, as this takes up call capacity making it more difficult for those patients with more pressing medical needs on the day to get through. We are excited to introduce a new system which allows patients who are able to make requests online rather than queue on the phone at busier times, allowing you to get on with your day and know that we are dealing with your request. You do not need a username or password to use the system and you can make both appointment requests and admin requests. If you would like some help the first time to use the system please don't hesitate to ring and a member of the reception team will assist you.

From the 5th of August 2024 (05/08/2024) our surgery will be going live with our new online patient triage system. This system will function similarly to our e consult system and will allow you to submit medical and admin requests. We have put together this list of Frequently Asked Questions to help explain more about the system and some changes at the surgery.
